Certificates of Analysis
Every batch we sell is tested, and the certificate for that batch is published here. Not a stock figure, not a typical result.
What we report, and why
A certificate of analysis is only as useful as the figures on it. Three numbers matter, and they are not the same number:
- HPLC purity — what proportion of the peptide material present is the target peptide, measured by reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. This is the figure most suppliers quote, and often the only one.
- Net peptide content — the actual mass of peptide in the vial. Lyophilised peptides carry counter-ions, residual solvent and water, so a vial can be 99% pure by HPLC and still contain meaningfully less peptide than the label weight. Purity and net content answer different questions. Where our certificate states a net content figure, we publish it; where it does not, the column below is left empty rather than filled with a guess.
- Identity — molecular weight measured against the target sequence, confirming the material is what the label says it is.
Vial batches and source lots
Peptides are synthesised in bulk lots and filled into vials in smaller batches. The certificate is issued against the manufacturer’s source lot; the code printed on your vial is our fill batch. Both are listed below so you can trace the vial in your hand back to the document that describes it. If you cannot make that connection, tell us — a certificate you cannot tie to your vial is not doing its job.

Bacteriostatic water is supplied as a laboratory consumable and is not accompanied by a peptide certificate of analysis.
Checking your vial
The batch code is printed on the vial label and shown on each product page under Additional Information. Match it to the table above. If your batch is not listed, or the certificate does not match what you received, contact us before using the material and we will investigate.
Requesting a certificate
Certificates ship with every order and are published here before you buy. For historic batches, or if you need the raw chromatogram rather than the summary certificate, email info@light-peptides.co.uk with the batch number.
